Kent Coastal Retreat

This was a lovely project to work on; a beautiful grade 2 listed Coastguard cottage that required transforming in to a high end holiday let. The client wanted something quirky with a dark colour scheme. He opted for a full services package with interior design, project management and furnishings.

First of all we looked at the layout and flow of the property. We suggested opening up the kitchen to the living room to create a much nicer flow in a relatively small space. Upstairs we changed a door location to allow for a king size bed in the second bedroom. Permission was granted for this from the conservation department.

We worked alongside the client's builders, providing all drawings and schedules and overseeing the work, including full damp proofing and full re-plumb and re-wire. We then furnished the house and set it up as a holiday let. We even hand made art work for the living areas and hallway!

It was a lovely project, in a beautiful building and we were all very proud when it was awarded 5 stars by English Country Cottages (the only one in the area)

The client was over the moon and gave us a further property to design, which was fantastic!
