PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project involved reconfiguring a series of small, dark rooms and extending the property to create a single, light-filled kitchen and breakfast space with level access to the garden.
The aim was to improve flow, functionality and the connection between indoor and outdoor living, while ensuring the new space felt integrated with the rest of the home.
HOW WE HELPED
Our role included:
• Establishing a clear style and design direction at the outset
• Reconfiguring the existing layout and advising on the introduction of an extension to improve light, flow and garden access
• Designing a kitchen layout that maximised functionality and storage
• Selecting finishes that reflected the client’s personality while maintaining a cohesive overall scheme
• Integrating existing furniture, lighting and artwork into the new design
• Producing detailed drawings and schedules to support construction
THE RESULT
The completed kitchen and breakfast area now flows seamlessly from the rest of the house, with level access out to the garden. When the corner bifold doors are open, the garden becomes a natural extension of the living space, creating a practical, sociable and light-filled environment suited to everyday use.
