Indigo Eight is a residential interior and internal architectural design studio based in Kent, working across the South East.
We specialise in helping clients make confident, considered decisions about their homes — whether at the very beginning of a project or once things are already under way.
Our approach is thoughtful and collaborative. We take the time to understand how you live, how your home needs to function, and how you want your spaces to feel, before translating this into a cohesive design that supports everyday life.
Every project begins with listening.
We work closely with our clients to understand their lifestyle, routines and priorities, as well as any existing pieces that are important to them. From there, we bring structure and clarity through considered use of colour, proportion and layout — developing design directions, layouts and detailed proposals that feel personal rather than prescribed.
Our role is not to impose a style, but to guide, refine and bring confidence to the decision-making process, so that choices feel informed and aligned rather than overwhelming.
Indigo Eight has evolved through hands-on experience across a wide range of residential projects, including renovations, refurbishments and new builds.
This experience allows us to consider both the creative and practical aspects of a project — balancing aesthetics with flow, function and buildability — and to produce designs that can be delivered smoothly on site.
Clients come to us at many different stages. Some engage us early to help define a clear design direction before committing to layouts or construction. Others reach out part way through a project when decisions begin to feel overwhelming.

Indigo Eight is led by Joanna Rymill an interior designer with a thoughtful, practical approach to creating homes that support everyday life.
Working closely with clients on renovations, refurbishments and new builds, Joanna brings both creative sensitivity and a clear understanding of how homes are used — guiding clients through design decisions with clarity, care and confidence.
